Leo

Labrador Retriever
Young Adult – Male

Leo was originally found as an un-claimed stray. He has been sweet and friendly to everyone he’s met, and he’s gotten along great with his Fosters small dog.

Nala

Labrador Retriever/Husky
Young Adult – Female

Nala and her sister Harley were found as strays, presumably dumped in rural Oklahoma. Harley has been transferred to our rescue partner, but Nala still waits. Nala has come such a long way since we got her; she used to be a shutdown-petrified puppy. Now she is more confident and enjoys car rides and playing with other dogs. She can still be slightly timid with people she doesn't know, but she becomes friendly pretty fast!! Unfortunately, Nala has grown up in boarding and has never been properly house-trained; we suspect she will need some training in that department. Nala has a goofy disposition and enjoys going on adventures with her people. She is in need of a foster home or an adoptive home!!

Shiner

Border Collie/Cattle Dog
Young Adult – Male

Meet Shiner, they don’t get any more handsome than this! We think shiner could be a short hair border collie mix or possibly a McNab collie mix which is a type of stock dog out of California, he definitely has all the energy and sass that goes along with a stock dog! He warms up quickly and remembers his people. He can herd any cat in the yard up the tree and keep it there! He does well with people, he does well with children any plays great with the dogs at the dog park! He would do best with a family that would include him in all activities, a home that has an abundance of activities and dog toys. He does well with other dogs as long as they’re nice, He would need to meet any dogs in the home first to make sure they would get along and be a good fit. He is very smart and trainable and super sweet! To find out more about shiner and how to meet him in person please contact okie pet rescue.

Hank

Miniature Pinscher/Beagle
Young Adult – Male

Hank is an adorable little guy who has a knack for getting along with all dogs. His best friends are a 60 pound Staffordshire Terrier and a 5 pound MinPin/Chihuahua mix. When he isn't running and playing Hank likes to snuggle with his foster mom. When he is tired Hank will curl up in his kennel to take a nap or go to sleep for the night. He is kennel trained and house trained with a dog door. Hank is well behaved around all dogs and cats.

Petra

American Bulldog
Young Adult – Female

Petra is slowly learning to enjoy the good life and trust people. She was originally found with a shepherd living in an abandoned house in Owasso. She does seem to want to me alpha female, so experience integrating an alpha into a multi-dog household, or even an only dog household will be recommended. She’s turning into a real sweetheart !! ❤️

Chomp

Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier
Adult – Male

Sweet Chomp is a recent owner surrender. He is an active boy and would benefit from an active family. He can be placed in a home with another dog, but we feel he would be okay by himself too! Chomp is friendly with kids and all people. He is currently in boarding and would benefit from a foster home. We were told he can be a fence jumper, but we have not seen this behavior.

Winston

Hound
Young Adult – Male

Special Needs: Epileptic I AM ON DAILY MEDS Winston, and his brother, Wally, were originally in a box by the road marked “free” ; the owners of the momma dog agreed to hand them over to the rescue. Wally has been adopted, but Winston has been in our program for months with no interest. Winston began having seizures a couple months after he was in his foster home. Our vet partners have run an array of tests, but they can not determine the cause of the seizures. Winston maintains very well on his daily medication, and he has minimal break through seizures. His meds are fairly inexpensive. Winston is still a good boy who enjoys playing with other dogs, travels well, and is house trained! He deserves his forever family! Please consider giving this sweet boy a chance!

Teddy

Pit Bull Terrier
Young Adult – Male

Mr. Teddy was found as a stray. He is a very sweet and mellow love bug. We are unsure of his past, but we suspect a man was not kind to him. He needs some time to warm up to people, but men especially. Teddy is an all around good boy and is kid, cat, and dog friendly! He loves playing tug and gets the zoomies when he gets excited! Teddy would make a great addition to any home!!

Daisy

Pit Bull Terrier
Baby – Female

Beni

Redbone Coonhound/Basset Hound
Adult – Male

Beni was abandoned by his family when they moved. They just left him there! A neighbor started feeding him, and she took him to get neutered and vaccinated. She would let him in the house when she could, even though it was against her landlord's policy. Eventually, the landlord really started putting his foot down that Beni needed to go. A foster stepped up for him, but he would love a forever home of his own. Beni is exercising more to attempt to slim down to a healthy weight so he would love a walking partner! He is house and crate trained and gets along well with other dogs.

Toni Taponi

Pit Bull Terrier/Mountain Cur
Baby – Male

Remington

Australian Shepherd
Young Adult – Male

Honey Bee

Australian Shepherd
Young Adult – Female

HoneyBee was surrendered by a local breeder when she decided to close down her breeding program. Honeybee and the other two Aussies we took were clearly not well socialized and they don’t show very well at events currently. HoneyBee is sweet but requires some time to warm up. She would do best in a home with another social playful housemate, as that gives her the most confidence with people!

Ziggy

Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund
Young Adult – Female

Sweet Ziggy was found running the streets of Tulsa. She was so petrified she had to be trapped. Her fosters have done a great job working with her but she is still a shy girl. She might always be on the more reserved side. Miss Ziggy enjoys playing with dogs her size, we think she would enjoy a friend in her forever home! She is still working on her house manners but if on a schedule she does pretty good at not going in the house. We would love to see Ziggy succeed in a home!

Cosmo

Bull Terrier
Young Adult – Male

Cosmo was found as a stray and taken to a vet clinic. He was microchipped, but after many failed attempts it was obvious that his owners were not missing him. He was neutered, vaccinated and became an Okie Pet Rescue dog! He is young and eager to please.

Gus

Pit Bull Terrier
Young Adult – Male

Gus is as sweet as they come ! He’s dog friendly, kid friendly, and is just happy to get some love! We aren’t sure how he is with cats.

Dolly

Pit Bull Terrier
Baby – Female

This litter entered our program at one week of age. The owner of their momma abandoned them at a Walgreens in Tulsa. They quickly went to bottle feeding foster homes, and have now been weaned.

Martha -CL

Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur
Young Adult – Female

COURTESY LISTING … please contact Valerie at 817-454-0519 Martha is one of 2 young adult female dogs that were dumped at our rural church and cemetery in SE Oklahoma. She is a lover and will ask for a belly rub before she will eat. Even when she was starving! She does great on and off leash, and loves to be around other dogs. While taking shelter under the church building Martha had a litter of 5 adorable puppies. Even when she was caring for her young puppies she was so sweet to everyone who came to care for her and her puppies. There is a sense of gratitude from this beautiful soul. The puppies have been placed with a rescue and are currently being fostered. 2 of her puppies have even found forever homes! It hasn’t been so easy for momma Martha though. After gaining weight back and recovering from being a nursing mom she has recently been spayed, and is up to date on all shots including rabies. She is estimated to be close to 2 years old. Martha and her sister Mary are being fostered on a farm locally but have not had anyone interested in giving them a permanent home. They’re learning all about farm life but would love to be somebody’s special one on a farm or in the city! Our area has been inundated with dumped dogs. We would love for these girls to have a chance to live somewhere where their lives are valued and resources are more available.

Mary - CL

Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur
Young Adult – Female

COURTESY LISTING… please contact Valerie at 817-454-0519 Mary is one of 2 adult dogs dumped at a rural church and cemetery in SE Oklahoma. She is all about giving and receiving love! Like her sister Martha she will often want a belly rub before she gets to work on her food. Even when she was starving! Mary knows how to sit and stay, and is great on and off leash. She loves to be with her people even if that’s been a temporary caregiver, especially if that means a ride in the car! She also loves to be around other dogs. Mary has recently been spayed and is up to date on all shots including rabies. Mary and her sister Martha are currently being fostered on a local farm but have not had any interest to be taken into a permanent home. Kimy

Australian Shepherd
Senior – Female

Cinnamon Swirl

Australian Shepherd
Young Adult – Male

Viola

American Bully
Adult – Female

Viola is a super cutie. She is great with kids, with the youngest age being 4. We also have dogs of our own and she loves running around with them. She catches on very quickly but is always stubborn to things she doesn’t want to do. Viola only barks to greet you and her whole body shows how excited she is. You will have a shadow 24/7. What we have learned about Vi is she doesn’t alert you when she has to potty so we have gotten her on an every two hour schedule and to wait about 5 to ten minutes after she initially goes because she walks around and potty’s again. She gets fed twice a day 2 cups per serving (Wet/soft food). Vi is definitely a foodie. So please be careful with leaving food laying around. All and all this beauty of a soul is all around amazing. Never growls or shows aggression. You will love this sweet angel!

Ralphie

American Bully
Baby – Male

Ralphie loves everybody! He’s dog friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly, and has done great so far with house manners. Ralphie is a short and stocky fella and won’t be very tall.

Penny

Thai Ridgeback/Shar Pei
Young Adult – Female

Miss Penny was found in July as a stray and was never claimed. Her foster mom has gotten her UTD on everything and she is ready for her forever home. Penny is house and crate trained, and does good with dogs of every size. She also is fostered with a cat and chickens and does well. Penny is friendly and eager to meet her forever family!
