Like her sister Martha she will often want a belly rub before she gets to work on her food. Even when she was starving! Mary knows how to sit and stay, and is great on and off leash. She loves to be with her people even if that’s been a temporary caregiver, especially if that means a ride in the car! She also loves to be around other dogs. Mary has recently been spayed and is up to date on all shots including rabies. Mary and her sister Martha are currently being fostered on a local farm but have not had any interest to be taken into a permanent home. They’re learning all about farm life but would love a home anywhere country or city. Our area has been inundated with dumped dogs. We would love for these girls to have a chance to live somewhere where their lives are valued and resources are more available.

She is a lover and will ask for a belly rub before she will eat. Even when she was starving! She does great on and off leash, and loves to be around other dogs. While taking shelter under the church building Martha had a litter of 5 adorable puppies. Even when she was caring for her young puppies she was so sweet to everyone who came to care for her and her puppies. There is a sense of gratitude from this beautiful soul. The puppies have been placed with a rescue and are currently being fostered. 2 of her puppies have even found forever homes! It hasn’t been so easy for momma Martha though. After gaining weight back and recovering from being a nursing mom she has recently been spayed, and is up to date on all shots including rabies. She is estimated to be close to 2 years old. Martha and her sister Mary are being fostered on a farm locally but have not had anyone interested in giving them a permanent home. They’re learning all about farm life but would love to be somebody’s special one on a farm or in the city! Our area has been inundated with dumped dogs. We would love for these girls to have a chance to live somewhere where their lives are valued and resources are more available.

Special Needs: Epileptic I AM ON DAILY MEDS Winston, and his brother, Wally, were originally in a box by the road marked “free” ; the owners of the momma dog agreed to hand them over to the rescue. Wally has been adopted, but Winston has been in our program for months with no interest. Winston began having seizures a couple months after he was in his foster home. Our vet partners have run an array of tests, but they can not determine the cause of the seizures. Winston maintains very well on his daily medication, and he has minimal break through seizures. His meds are fairly inexpensive. Winston is still a good boy who enjoys playing with other dogs, travels well, and is house trained! He deserves his forever family! Please consider giving this sweet boy a chance!

Meadowlark is stout girl! She is friendly and has a calm demeanor. This litter was born to a pittie momma in North Tulsa. She was abandoned by her owners when they moved with 10 newborn babies! The kind neighbor did her best to provide food and a pen for the pups but they desperately needed to be placed in the safety of a foster home. Thankfully momma is extremely sweet and social and she was able to be placed in another rescue once puppies were weaned. Puppies have been handled since birth and are very social, chunky babies!

He will need an adopter who is patient, and willing to work with him. Edgar ADORES other dogs, and would definitely benefit from a home with another dog who is more confident than he is. Sure he has his quirks, but we all do! Maybe he is meant for you! 💕

This handsome gentleman is Eli. Him and his three siblings had been living as strays their whole lives at a local college campus. Thankfully with the help of multiple dedicated people, we were able to trap all 4 pups and their mom. Eli is shy when meeting new people but warms up fairly quickly (especially with treats). Eli is learning his house manners, basic commands, and crate training. He would love a home with another dog as a playmate, and an owner who will be patient with him. Anna was seemingly dumped in a rural area and never claimed. She was very sweet with the other dogs and kids in the area but unfortunately chased chickens! Anna was severely underweight and overloaded with internal and external parasites when we got her, she's currently gaining weight and getting some TLC! She is a little sweetheart that is eager to find her forever family!

here’s a bio! i can totally change anything if needed, or if it’s too long just let me know lol! Houdini is a spayed, roughly 5 year old husky. Despite her name, she does not jump fences! She was found as a stray on the outside of her finders fence around 2 months ago, and has been hanging out in boarding since then. She does great in her kennel, and is learning how to walk on a leash and a few basic commands. She hasn’t had a lot of time in a home setting, but she is potty trained and loves to cuddle! Miss Houdini has never met a stranger, and she loves to sing! She has been great with all the other dogs she has met so far, but needs a home without cats.

Otis was dumped on a country road and was surviving on someone’s chickens. Thankfully, the owner of the chickens knew that did not make Otis a bad dog, just another dog failed by humans in Oklahoma. Otis is well socialized and has done fantastic with other dogs, kids and large livestock. He also rides great is a car!

Hi, My name is Taters but sometimes my foster mom likes to call me Taties (she thinks it’s cute like me). I was found right before Christmas cold and hungry with no tags or microchip. Since then I've been crashing on my foster mom's couch while I got healthy but I’m really looking for my furever family! I am about the sweetest cuddler there ever was for starters and for seconds I like to be as close to you as I can get. I’m sweet, playful and a little rambunctious. Now to be honest, I really REALLY like to jump…like HIGHHHH!! Not to brag or anything, but I can clear a 4ft fence standing still. And I do like to chase things that move…but who doesn’t?!? ,I am potty trained but can get distracted outside so I do need some patience.  I stay in a crate for periods of time with no problem, I’m just resting up to play with you when you get me out! This well-mannered little guy is new to Okie Pet Rescue and is already proving to be a quiet, easy-going companion. Charlie is great with other dogs, ignores cats, and is fully crate trained. He uses a doggie door like a pro and prefers spending his days snuggled up inside—especially if it involves a cozy bed and a warm human to cuddle with. He rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash, making him a great little travel buddy or walking partner. He was recently neutered, so he may still do a little leg lifting, but that behavior should fade with time.
