Fluffy is one of the “Bartlesville Three,” a beautiful dilute tortoiseshell and white long-haired young female with a story of resilience still being written. At approximately 7 months old, she’s right on the edge of kittenhood and adulthood—full of potential and just beginning to discover the comforts of indoor life.
She was one of three kittens to be trapped during the coldest part of this winter, holding out for over a week in sub-zero temperatures while rescuers worked tirelessly to bring her to safety. That strength and determination are part of what make Fluffy so special.
Fluffy came to us with feral instincts, and while she still hisses to let you know she’s unsure, she’s already made meaningful progress. She will allow handling and has even started to purr—clear signs that she’s learning to trust and beginning to enjoy human companionship. She’s starting to relax in her environment, showing curiosity and a growing appreciation for the safety and routine of living indoors. With time, patience, and understanding, Fluffy has all the potential to continue blossoming.
Because of her background, Fluffy will do best in a home with experience handling feral or semi-feral cats—someone who understands that trust takes time and that every small step forward is a big victory. She may not be instantly affectionate, but for the right person, helping Fluffy come out of her shell will be incredibly rewarding.
Handsome in her own soft, unique way and quietly brave, Fluffy is looking for a dedicated adopter willing to meet her where she is and help her become the loving companion she’s meant to be.
Fluffy uses the litter box, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, is up to date on core vaccines and has been treated with NexGard® COMBO for Cats (a parasite protection that kills fleas, ticks, and treats and controls intestinal worms—specifically roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms)
