Sammy

Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd
Young Adult – Male

Sammy is a sweet, spunky little guy with a big heart and even bigger ears! At just 7 months old, he’s full of youthful energy and loves to play with other dogs, kids of all ages, and he even befriends cats. Sammy was was born a double merle, as a result, he is completely deaf and partially blind. This is most likely the result of unethical breeding practices. Despite his limitations, Sammy navigates the world with curiosity and courage—and he’s always ready for his next adventure! He’s making great progress with potty training but still needs to go out about every 4 hours. Sammy would thrive in a loving home that can offer him patience, structure, and plenty of playtime. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a special spark, Sammy might just be your perfect match. 💛

Ella

Labrador Retriever/Shepherd
Young Adult – Female

Meet Ella! Ella and her three siblings had been living as strays at a local college campus for their whole life. But with the help of multiple dedicated people, we were able to trap all 4 pups and their mom! Ella is a shy puppy and will need an adopter who will give her time to come out of her shell. Ella absolutely adores other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog. She loves playing outside and running around with her siblings. Ella doesn’t have accidents in her kennel and is working on her house manners. Do you think this sweet girl could be right for you? ❤️

Winston

Hound
Adult – Male

Special Needs: Epileptic I AM ON DAILY MEDS Winston, and his brother, Wally, were originally in a box by the road marked “free” ; the owners of the momma dog agreed to hand them over to the rescue. Wally has been adopted, but Winston has been in our program for months with no interest. Winston began having seizures a couple months after he was in his foster home. Our vet partners have run an array of tests, but they can not determine the cause of the seizures. Winston maintains very well on his daily medication, and he has minimal break through seizures. His meds are fairly inexpensive. Winston is still a good boy who enjoys playing with other dogs, travels well, and is house trained! He deserves his forever family! Please consider giving this sweet boy a chance!

Meadowlark

Pit Bull Terrier
Young Adult – Female

Meadowlark is stout girl! She is friendly and has a calm demeanor. This litter was born to a pittie momma in North Tulsa. She was abandoned by her owners when they moved with 10 newborn babies! The kind neighbor did her best to provide food and a pen for the pups but they desperately needed to be placed in the safety of a foster home. Thankfully momma is extremely sweet and social and she was able to be placed in another rescue once puppies were weaned. Puppies have been handled since birth and are very social, chunky babies!

Stone-CL

Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier
Young Adult – Male

Belle

Pit Bull Terrier/Spaniel
Young Adult – Female

Belle was originally part of our Outlaw Litter. This litter came to us from the Tulsa Animal Shelter, sickly and malnourished. Thankfully all the puppies survived and have lived a quality life in their foster home, but Belle can’t stay forever! She enjoys socializing at all the adoption events and lives in a multi dog household. She loves people and can’t wait to meet her forever family!

Edgar

Shepherd/American Staffordshire Terrier
Young Adult – Male

Meet Edgar. He is one of four puppies who had been living as strays their whole life at a local college campus. Luckily, with the help of multiple dedicated people, all four pups and their mom have been trapped. Edgar gets really nervous meeting new people, and is still learning what love is. He will need an adopter who is patient, and willing to work with him. Edgar ADORES other dogs, and would definitely benefit from a home with another dog who is more confident than he is. Sure he has his quirks, but we all do! Maybe he is meant for you! 💕

Eli

Shepherd/Australian Kelpie
Young Adult – Male

This handsome gentleman is Eli. Him and his three siblings had been living as strays their whole lives at a local college campus. Thankfully with the help of multiple dedicated people, we were able to trap all 4 pups and their mom. Eli is shy when meeting new people but warms up fairly quickly (especially with treats). Eli is learning his house manners, basic commands, and crate training. He would love a home with another dog as a playmate, and an owner who will be patient with him. Could this sweet boy be meant for you?

Otis

Hound/Beagle
Young Adult – Male

Otis was dumped on a country road and was surviving on someone’s chickens. Thankfully, the owner of the chickens knew that did not make Otis a bad dog, just another dog failed by humans in Oklahoma. Otis is well socialized and has done fantastic with other dogs, kids and large livestock. He also rides great is a car!

Taters

Shepherd/Australian Shepherd
Young Adult – Male

Hi, My name is Taters but sometimes my foster mom likes to call me Taties (she thinks it’s cute like me). I was found right before Christmas cold and hungry with no tags or microchip. Since then I've been crashing on my foster mom's couch while I got healthy but I’m really looking for my furever family! I am about the sweetest cuddler there ever was for starters and for seconds I like to be as close to you as I can get. I’m sweet, playful and a little rambunctious. Now to be honest, I really REALLY like to jump…like HIGHHHH!! Not to brag or anything, but I can clear a 4ft fence standing still. And I do like to chase things that move…but who doesn’t?!? ,I am potty trained but can get distracted outside so I do need some patience.  I stay in a crate for periods of time with no problem, I’m just resting up to play with you when you get me out! I know my furever family is out there, could that be you?

Roscoe

Labrador Retriever
Adult – Male

Niobi

Niobi came to us from a severe neglect case. She has been decompressing and healing in her wonderful foster home and has blossomed into a sweetie! Niobi seemingly gets along with other dogs great as long as she's given a little adjustment period. She doesn't like being crated but has been wonderful left loose in the house. She has great house manners and loves people!

Chop

Doberman Pinscher/Rottweiler
Adult – Male

Chop has just arrived at Okie Pet Rescue after spending several tough months at a local municipal shelter. At 3 years old, this handsome Doberman/Rottweiler mix is finally getting the chance to stretch his legs, feel the grass under his paws, and experience the comfort of a loving foster home. We’re still getting to know Chop as he decompresses and starts to settle in, but one thing is already clear: this boy is soaking up his new freedom and discovering the joy of just being a dog again. He’s curious, observant, and slowly warming up to the good life he’s been waiting for. Chop is smart, and has the potential to be a deeply loyal companion. As he continues to adjust, we’ll be learning more about his personality, preferences, and the kind of forever home where he’ll truly thrive. For now, we’re just happy to see Chop getting his second chance — and we can’t wait to help him find the family he deserves. Interested in adopting Chop or want to follow his journey? Stay tuned for updates, or reach out to Okie Pet Rescue to learn more!

George

Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie
Senior – Male

George was a stray who found himself in an overcrowded and scary shelter. He was matted, covered in fleas and had a raging upper respiratory infection! Thanks to a committed foster, George is now living the life he has always deserved! He is about 13 years old and weighs under 12 pounds! What George lacks in hearing, vision and teeth he surely makes up in personality. He is a fun loving little guy with so much love left to give! George would love to spend his golden years snuggled up with the person that he has waited 13 years to finally meet! Let’s show him that it was well worth the wait! Adopt George!

Rowdy

Cattle Dog
Baby – Male

Rowdy is a spunky little heeler mix with a big personality packed into a small body. He’s a heeler in training—which means he can sometimes be a bit bossy, but it’s all part of his playful and spirited nature. Training: Working on house training, but already crate trained. He’s such a good boy that he even puts himself to bed in his crate at night! Other Pets: Great with dogs (both big and small!) and even cats. Kids: His experience with children is unknown, but given his energetic and sometimes rough play style, a home with older children would be the best fit. Personality: Rowdy is a rough-and-tumble pup who loves to play hard and then settle in when it’s time to rest. Rowdy is looking for a home that understands the energy and intelligence of herding breeds. With continued training, consistency, and lots of love, he’s sure to grow into a loyal, fun, and hardworking companion.

Jazzy

Terrier
Baby – Female

This precious girl narrowly missed death twice now in her short life span! First she ran out of time at a very small, rural shelter. Then days after being pulled into our rescue she broke with parvo. Jazzy almost didn't win the battle, but were so glad she pulled through! Jazzy is anxious to finally start her life in HOME with a loving FAMILY she's deserved all along.

Jet

American Bulldog/Boxer
Baby – Female

Chuck Norris

Husky/Cattle Dog
Adult – Male

Don’t let the name fool you—this guy’s more lover than fighter… unless you’re talking about his battle with adversity, which he roundhouse-kicked right out of the park. Chuck recently had a leg amputation, but with his staples out and his recovery complete, he’s officially retired from being an Expendable and is ready for his forever home! Chuck is a wonderful 3–5-year-old husky/heeler/kelpie mix who’s as smart as he is handsome. He’s house-trained and crate-trained, and at night he’ll even tuck himself into his crate when it’s bedtime (because real tough guys know the value of beauty sleep). He’s great with other small dogs and okay with indoor cats—though if a cat makes the mistake of running, his herding instincts might kick in for a quick game of chase. Chuck can be a little bossy and does bark at other dogs to invite them to play, which might just be his husky/heeler personality shining through. Despite having only three legs, nothing slows Chuck down. He loves to play fetch, run with his dog friends, and then wind down with some snuggle time.

Calvin

Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier
Young Adult – Male

Jarod

Shepherd/Labrador Retriever
Baby – Male

Brownie

Doberman Pinscher/Rottweiler
Adult – Male

Brownie is ready for his shot at forever with Okie Pet Rescue after being at a local municipal shelter with no interest for months. At around 3 years old this sweet hunk of a boy deserves some extra love and a couch to lay on. He is looking for a foster home so we can learn more about him to help find his new family.

Eoin

Poodle/Terrier
Baby – Male

Eoin (pronounced-Owen) is a sweet, lovable, and vocal little guy. He has found his awoooh and not afraid to use it! Eoin was originally dumped on a country road with his siblings. They were thankfully all rescued by a local police officer and were able to be placed into surrounding rescues. Eoin is already doing great in a crate and has so far been a happy healthy baby!

Saoirse

Poodle/Terrier
Baby – Female

Saoirse, pronounced SEER-shah, is a lovable, cuddly girl! She's not as adventurous as her brother Eoin, but does enjoy playing with a human or puppy pal. She is doing fabulous in her crate, but is not housebroken yet. Loud and rowdy kiddos scare her but she's been very freindly with other dogs and cats.

Hank (FNA Toby)

Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd
Adult – Male

Meet Hank (formerly Toby) 🐕🦴
This handsome guy is Hank! A fun-loving, energetic pup who’s ready to find his perfect match! Hank is around 2 and a 1/2 and has a big personality with an even bigger heart. He’s an active boy who thrives outdoors. He loves to run, chase squirrels and birds, and will happily play fetch all day if you let him. He knows all his basic commands like sit, stay, shake, lay down, and even roll over. Hank would do best with an active family or individual who has space for him to stretch his legs, ideally someone with a yard or land. While he’s got lots of playful energy. He’s being returned to the rescue through no fault of his own, his energy level just isn’t the right fit for a home with a small baby, as he can be a little too enthusiastic in his play. If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and fun companion who’s always up for a game of fetch or a hike, Hank just might be your perfect match!

Lacey - CL

Dachshund/Chihuahua
Adult – Female

****COURTESY LISTING *** Do Not Contact OPR Please contact Elizabeth at 217-408-8900 or elizabethwilkinson08@yahoo.com As much as we hate doing this we have to find another home for our sweet little Chiweenie girl. We will not just give her to anyone. I want someone experienced and dedicated and who will love her as much as we do. Lacey will be 4 in December. We have had her since she was 9 weeks old. She is 20 lbs, fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, current bloodwork, monthly preventative and shots. Lacey is very bonded to us and it will take her some warming up to someone new. But when she does you’ll experience the joy we have with her. She does get anxious with little kids so she would need a family with older children who will be kind to her. She is very smart when it comes to giving her medicines and we have to be very sneaky! She also has to have her anxious doggy cocktail for the vet to trim her nails 🙂 She loves giving hugs in the mornings and when we have been gone for a bit. She plays tug if war with her monkey toy and loves her nylabones. She is completely housetrained and we do not crate her. She loves to sleep with us and will try to cuddle on your shoulder. She also LOVES car rides! We are home with her a lot during the days and she is used to that, but I do understand most people have to work outside of the home. Here is why we have to rehome her. We have kept her for almost a year after problems started between her and our other 2 female dogs last year. She has decided that she wants the dominance in our house and she has started attacking our 10 yr old dog and 1 yr old dog. We thought maybe our older dog was sick or something because that is who she started attacking first. But our older dog’s labs came back normal. Lacey‘s also came back normal. We’ve been able to manage the fighting between her and our older dog, but during the Fourth of July weekend, our youngest dog was terrified of the fireworks and she went to hide behind our couch, and Lacey went after her. But our little dog fought back and now that’s all they want to do is fight the second they see, hear or smell each other. Lacey got through one of the baby gates and was able to tear our youngest dogs eyelid open so that was a vet emergency and traumatizing to all of us but mostly our dog. I have been sick over this and I’m very sad but it’s not any type of life for her to be separated from her family during the day because she is having an instinctual behavior to be pack leader. And our vet said it is not healthy for them living in fear. So I ask no other dogs in the house. Or possibly a small male dog? She has never been around cats. When I take her to Petsmart to walk around, on walks or to the vet, she has never even acted concerned about the other animals. But I cannot guarantee no problems down the road. No small kids at home. I’m asking a small fee for rehome. She will have her full bag of dog food, toys and bones. I am located in Claremore.
