Fostering is one of the most impactful ways to help Okie Pet Rescue. Because we do not have a shelter facility, foster homes make our rescue work possible. By opening your home temporarily to a dog or cat in need, you give them a safe, loving environment while we work to find their forever family.
Many animals thrive in foster care, where they can decompress, heal, and learn what it’s like to live in a home and receive love and kindness from a human. Fosters help us learn more about each animal’s personality, making successful adoptions possible.

Foster Information
We provide all food, supplies, and veterinary care. You provide the shelter and love!
Here are a few things to know before applying
– We will confirm all current pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventions.
– We prefer a foster home willing to house the pet until adoption, regardless of how long that takes. However, we are in need of short-term foster homes, too.
