Welcome to Okie Pet Rescue
Okie Pet Rescue (OPR) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue located in Northeastern Oklahoma. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and backgrounds.
Every animal in our care receives compassionate treatment, proper medical attention, and individualized support to prepare them for a loving forever home. Through community involvement, foster homes, and dedicated volunteers, we work every day to give animals a second chance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we get the pets in our care?
We rescue animals found in the community, surrendered by owners, transferred from shelters, saved by our volunteers, or born in our care.
What are our adoptions fees?
Adoption fees vary and are listed on each adoptable animal profile. The fees are based on the cost and veterinary care for the animal’s type, age, and breed, with some adjustments made based on demand.
What is included in the adoption fee?
All Okie Pet Rescue pets have been thoroughly vetted, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and are up to date on core vaccines. Pets over 6 months of age have received a heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). Our pets also receive heartworm and parasite prevention.
OPR offers a two-week trial period to ensure the pet is a perfect fit for your home and lifestyle.
